Tales of Symphonia - Noishe Sep. 21st, 2005 @ 09:59 pm
mochibuni
I was just walking along today and, for some reason, I had this random idea about Noishe.

Perhaps this is really far fetched (after all, it is a random idea), but Noishe reminds me of Yoshi.

I haven't done any research on Noishe's name or anything, but I was just thinking of some of the obvious. They're both green, the name "Noishe" reminds me of "Yoshi" (though I know they're not pronounced the same), and they're both ridden on by red clad heroes.

Part of me likes to think Noishe is a tribute to Yoshi, but I'm probably dead wrong and just green dinosaur biased.

Thoughts?

I have been going to just about every LJ community that has anything to do with any kind of comic to spread the word about this auction. Basicly, what it is, you bid on cool stuff like signed comics or art work, and every penny spent goes straight to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. If you don't want to bid on anything (if you don't you must be nuts) please at least spread the word about it

Tales of Symphonia Name Origins

I originally intended to find the origins myself, but when I went to look for definitions I came upon this list. It covers almost, if not all the names of the characters within this game.

This sorta counts, because it is for a fictional character I am developing. I am looking for the meaning for the name DeLorean.

I know it is the name of the car used in back to the future, and the car is named after they guy who designed it. However, I can't seem to find what it means, and I figured you all are into name games like I am and maybe you can help me. If you can let me know...any help would be appreciated. Cheers!

Community spammage! Ok, the 2003 Nintendo Power Awards were just published and delivered to my mailbox, and the winner for oddest character name: Dorcas. Here's what NP says:

"Dorcas is actually an ancient and honorable Greek name that means "gazelle." To which we can only say, "Dude, you're named Dorcas."
